A message from our divisional leaders

As the Senior Managing Director for the Western Division, I serve California, Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, Las Vegas, Alaska and Arizona for Wells Fargo Wealth and Investment Management. Over 31 years in the financial services industry and 29 at Wells Fargo Advisors and predecessor firms, my guiding principle is to support and help deepen the relationship of our financial advisors and the families and corporations they serve. I represent senior leadership in the Latino Segment championing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Our financial advisors have the ability to advise on all wealth accumulation, protection and distribution issues. Our primary goal as a divisional team is to facilitate relationships to ensure every client has a deep comprehensive review and actionable objectives and goals based on their individual needs. Wells Fargo Wealth and Investment Management proudly possesses all the solutions that may arise over a client’s life.

Spending quality time with my wife Nicole and my two college aged daughters Alexis and Sophia is paramount. Enjoying world-wide surf and golf excursions provides opportunities for me to see, meet and be active with people all over the globe. I spend time in the community enhancing youth volleyball programs, pet rescue, and clean ocean initiatives and organizations.

Krista Goryl is an inclusive leader who champions the competitive advantages of Wells Fargo’s Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) platform. As the Western Division Business Growth Strategy Director for WIM, Krista and her team are responsible for implementing cutting-edge solutions across a range of disciplines including comprehensive planning and advice, investment management, estate planning strategies, trust, business succession, family legacy, executive services, real estate management, and retirement.

Krista joined Wells Fargo & Company in 2010 where she was most recently the Head of High Net Worth Strategy and Growth, providing advisors with training, visibility, and resources to customize high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth solutions for clients.

Krista is frequently called upon to represent Wells Fargo & Company in media events and public speaking engagements. Krista has been featured in publications such as Investment News, WealthManagement.com, San Diego Business Journal, and The Glass Hammer. Krista serves on the Wealth and Investment Management Women’s Initiative Steering Committee and supports the military through the Honor Foundation.
 
Krista began her career as an Analyst in Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities with Goldman Sachs in New York City. She relocated to San Diego where she joined a Private Wealth team at Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor for six years, assisting high-net-worth clients with investment management and financial planning.

Matt is the Western Division Recruiting Director for Advisor Recruiting. In this role, Matt leads the team providing guidance on transitioning business to Wells Fargo Wealth and Investment Management to a select group of experienced financial advisors and wealth management teams. His mission is to help Financial Advisors create a smooth process for clients and successfully transition their business.

Leveraging over a decade of experience at Wells Fargo Advisors, Matt works closely with financial advisors and wealth management teams to develop strategies that leverage Wells Fargo Advisors to meet the goals of their clients and business. The bottom line for every financial advisor relationship is to work collaboratively to instill a sense of an advisor at the center of an industry-leading client experience, choice regarding the business model aligned to your goals, and the opportunities to grow existing and new client relationships.

Prior to his current role, the Divisional Productivity Manager for the Midwest and Northern Divisions at Wells Fargo Advisors. Matt and his team of Productivity Consultants supported Field Leaders and Financial Advisors around investment management, practice management, planning, and advice.

Matt holds an M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. Matt holds the Series 7, 9, 10, and 66 registrations.

Matt and his wife, Katie, live in Orange County, CA with their two children.

A key member of the Western division team since December 2019, Reagan Miller facilitates regular calls and events for the division, in addition to assisting with recruiting efforts and organizing division initiatives such as the Division Virtual Due Diligence, Wells Fargo Advisors' Top Women's Zoom Meeting, and others. She also works directly with Dave Altshuler, Division President, and assists the division with its many marketing efforts.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors, Reagan was a Project Coordinator with Phoenix Investment Funds. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Chapman University, where she also served as a Student Advisor Assistant and guided her peers on course selection.

In her free time, Reagan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, fitness classes (cycling and Pilates), cooking, going to the beach, and traveling to new places. She also strives to give back to her community through various causes, including The Hunger Project, Head-Start, and Leaps and Bounds Pediatric Physical Therapy.

With over 16 years in the financial services industry, my primary objective has always been to equip Financial Advisors with the tools and strategies to enhance their practice. I am deeply committed to delivering unapparelled service & ensuring innovative solutions that are tailored for the unique needs of wealth management clients.

In my preceding role as Assistant Market Leader for the Valley Market in Los Angeles, I had the privilege of co-leading a dynamic team of Financial Advisors across 19 diverse markets. This spanned the region from Pasadena, and Woodland Hills to Hawaii encompassing FINET, Wells Fargo Wealth Management, and Wells Fargo Retail Branches. Under our leadership, our market effectively managed assets exceeding 60 Billion.

Transitioning to my current position as Market Recruiting Manager, my core responsibilities are to collaboratively work with market leaders, aiding them in identifying and securing top-tier advisors in their markets. I have broad experience in recruiting professionals from diverse firms with various business models. Over the last 6 years in partnership with Steve Townsend, we have successfully onboarded over 60 professionals who are thriving at Wells Fargo Advisors.

David prides himself on building long-term personal relationships with individual Financial Advisors, CFPs, and other wealth management professionals to provide personalized career and practice transition guidance and counsel.

Career History: David has 27 years of experience in Financial Services sales, management and recruiting. He spent 9 years as a Financial Advisor Recruiter in partnership with Willis Consulting in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Prior to that, David enjoyed an 18 year career as a leader and Regional Executive in the Financial Services, Banking and Mortgage industry with HSBC and Accredited. Given his depth of experience, he understands the complexities of the financial markets as well as the special relationship Financial Advisors work hard to build with their clients. David attended Weber State University and is a graduate of the AFSA Executive Leadership Program at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler School of Business in Chapel Hill, NC.

Additional Information: David and his family enjoy calling the Phoenix, AZ area home. When he’s not at work, he’s busy with his children who are very involved in school, outdoor activities and sports.

Combine a sharp acumen for data & analytics with a real passion for brand building, prospecting, and marketing strategy, and you have just described Christopher Busch. An experienced marketing executive leader for over 24 years, Chris’s proven ability to create and implement marketing support models for underserved financial institutions paired with revenue generating cross-selling campaigns has earned him praise from peers and industry stalwarts.

Chris is the Executive Director, Divisional Marketing Manager for Wells Fargo’s Wealth & Investment Management Western division. Chris is responsible for creating and accelerating the Firm’s brand recognition, marketing and recruiting strategy in support of the more than 2,500 Financial Advisors across nine Western divisional markets from San Francisco, California to Scottsdale Arizona.

Before joining Wells Fargo, Chris spent 17 years at U.S. Bank, the 5th largest financial institution in the Country, most recently as the Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Bank’s Commercial Banking division. There he was accountable for the divisions marketing strategy, prospecting, and product cross-selling initiatives on behalf of 34 locations across the Bank’s domestic footprint. Under his leadership, Chris built and implemented multiple cross-selling campaigns recognized for delivering strong brand paired with relevant industry trend messaging which resulted in more than $60MM of net new revenue for the Bank between 2021 and 2023.

Hard work, resilience and creativity has always been a part of Chris’s DNA. Growing up in the small suburb of Apple Valley, Minnesota. He learned about the value of hard work and honesty from his middle-class parents. His mother a schoolteacher and father, the manager of government accounting for General He attended flight school and majored in Marketing & Communications at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, where he later graduated with a BA in Communications.

Outside of the office, Chris is a proud father of two teenage daughters; his hobbies include weightlifting, riding his Harley Davidson Street Glide, hiking, and boating. Chris and his family reside in San Diego, California.

Jim began his career in the financial services industry right out of college with Prudential-Bache Securities in New York. He has spent the majority of his career with Wells Fargo Advisors and their legacy companies. His experience is varied as he has held roles in multiple parts of the organization, from the home office, to field, to regions, as well as worked in different parts of the country. As one of the Business Managers for the Western Division, these different perspectives help him serve as an effective partner and advocate for Financial Advisors, Branch Managers, and support staff.

Originally from New York, Jim’s career has taken him coast to coast four times. He currently resides in El Dorado Hills, California with his wife Shelle, and their two teenage sons, Charlie and Joe. Outside the office, Jim enjoys spending his free time with his family, gardening in the backyard, going out to wine country, and occasionally taking his classic car out for a spin.

Tammy Milling began her career in 1984 when she was hired as a cashier with Prudential-Bache Securities in Sacramento, CA. Within two years, she became the Operations Manager and remained in that role until accepting a transfer to Fresno in 1991. For the next four years, she worked in the Fresno office of Prudential Securities (a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors) as Operations Manager and then Administration Manager. In 1995, she transferred to the Seattle office and helped open a regional office there in 1997, working as a Risk Officer and then Regional Administration Manager. Tammy has held various regional roles since that time, serving the Western Division for the last 25 years.

Tammy and her husband, Mark, make their home in Enumclaw, WA, where they live on a small farm with their teenage son, Jeremy, as well as five horses, two dogs, and a cat. They also have a daughter, Kayla, who attends Grand Canyon University in Arizona. Tammy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, riding and competing horses, and hiking.

An experienced manager with 30 years of financial industry experience, Patrick began his career in New York City as a stockbroker after attending Montclair State in New Jersey. He later joined Waterhouse Securities, an upstart discount broker in the 1990s known today as TD Ameritrade, holding several roles that included local leadership in branch management and leading their overnight call center in Jersey City.

Patrick joined our predecessor, Wachovia Securities, in 2007 and built a reputation for partnership, problem solving, and productivity in both the complex and market operations’ manager positions. Patrick began in his current Divisional Support leader role in 2017 and moved to Minneapolis to be a part of the legacy Northern regional team, followed by taking on today’s Western Divisional role.

Patrick enjoys travelling to visit many friends and family across the U.S. He is an avid sports fan, rooting for the New York Jets to one day return to the Super Bowl, and enjoys participating in anything competitive. He currently lives in West Bloomington, Minnesota with his dog, Hudson.

Gail Thompson has over fifteen years of project management and executive assistant experience in the financial services industry, with thirteen of those years at Wells Fargo. Gail joined the Western Division of Wells Fargo Advisors in March 2023 wherein she manages national meetings and events, the divisional website, and other administrative projects and assignments.

In 2014, Gail supported the Senior Director of Investment and Fiduciary Services and the National Practice Trust Leader in Wells Fargo Wealth Management, and in 2021 she began assisting the Senior Managing Director in the Midwest Division of Wells Fargo Advisors. Prior to this role, Gail served as Project Manager in Wealth Management supporting the Regional Managing Director in Beverly Hills. Her responsibilities included managing enterprise revenue-generating initiatives and campaigns to uncover potential cross-selling opportunities to attract new and maintain existing high-net-worth clients and the construction and reconstruction of offices. Gail received her Master of Business Administration Degree and Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from University of Phoenix.

Outside of Wells Fargo, Gail loves spending quality time with her family and friends, going to the beach, and serving the underserved in the community.
